Two weeks to flatten the curve.

Forgot to add to this:

whenever someone talks or writes about Covid, I always think about those words.

Yes it is (was) a bad disease (which thankfully now mutated to a less virulent form - as expected),

but most of the damage from the disease came not from the disease but rather from going well past the "two weeks to flatten the curve" - the severe damage to people and society is from the over reaction to the disease.

As for trusting the "authorities" -

I always remember that this horrible deadly virus were said to have had no effect on the literally thousands of people who were overcrowded together during those times protesting social injustice - in fact, such protesting encouraged by these so called "authorities" -

as well as certain funerals and other politically expedient events were perfectly fine and safe to attend
while other less "blessed" events such as religious or attending to a dying loved one were forbidden.

As well as people providing proof of natural immunity or adverse reaction to but still "required" to take the experimental vaccine.
