You’re right - the case fatality of the virus wasn’t all that high. It was probably in the ballpark of 0.2 - 0.3%. Flu is usually 0.1 - 0.2. Numbers may not be exact, but as I recall, that’s the ballpark.

The entire world had some kind of a psychotic episode with this virus. Except for Sweden and… Florida. Governments overreacted like crazy.

And, herd immunity is often a range of different degrees of immunity. It cuts down on R0 - on the number of new people that each infected person will infect on average. And - when that number is below 1, the epidemic will slow down and gradually will stop.

The riots - are proof that CoViD for young people is No Big Deal. For any government with some common sense this should have been enough to stop all restrictions on the young.

CoViD vaccine mandates were an obscenity from the very start. Gov abuse of power.
