g.w. all Sudan rebels say they downed vice-president's plane 10:39 a.m. Feb 12, 1998 Eastern NAIROBI, Feb 12 (Reuters) - The Sudan People's Liberation Army (SPLA) said on Thursday its rebel forces shot down a government plane in the south of the country killing First Vice-President Al-Zubeir Mohammad Saleh. ''It was not a crash,'' Justin Yaac, spokesman for the SPLA's political wing told Reuters in Nairobi.
