Moose is tender and delicious. Not much sport in hunting them as they have no natural predators so they just stand there. I had them come to me while I was grouse hunting curious what the shooting was about. Bear is good too but fatty. Black bears cry like a baby when shot and are more afraid of people. All the big tough stories are BS hunters tell. Moose and bear hunting are slaughter. Easiest hunting there is. We ate a lot of weird stuff in northern Maine. Now grizzly bear is different and moose hunting might be too in the northwest where there's wolves and grizzly predators.
