"still have to make the leap to streaming - that scares
me somehow."

I can totally relate to that.

I'm just completing my first calendar year with YouTube TV on fiber internet, pulled the old DirecTV dish off the house last summer which felt really good. I have zero complaints about YouTube TV, enjoy the price break, the quality is superb, and channel offerings excellent. Not sure if it's available in Canada, but if it is I would just close my eyes and pull the plug. You won't regret it.

I'm trying different services after dumping Comcast/Xfinity maybe a year ago. (Using "Sonic" for broadband.)

My must haves are 49ers and Warrior games so that limits to a few streaming services... But I don't get Vice News Tonight now. One advantage is I can watch a game or anything from my phone or laptop from anywhere (for example to watch a replay when at a game, or when on a layover at an airport.)

Phil is great but no sports. I was happy with Hulu, even happier with YouTube TV. I've had Netflix for many years so it's not my first streaming dance.

Its easy to cancel and fire up another, so try them.

We cut the cable and went to streaming 3 yrs ago. Never looked back. Takes a little getting used to but
superior. We don't watch much sports, however. So there's that.
