Just did a back of the envelope math guesstimate... I figure I've averaged 4500 a year. Road trips to the midwest are the exception, but those are mostly my wife's car, much newer vehicle and better mileage too.
We'll drive it a good long while too.

we even receive a discount on our vehicle insurance
because of the low mileage we put on our vehicles.
one is the truck h-man uses to get wood. the gas in
its tank is probably worth more than the truck.

the other is a used low mileage Ford Escape which we
bought from a friend. that takes us down to the ferry
in Skidegate when we need to cross over to the mainland.
we need good wheels for that.
