As a LIBERtarian I've only supported 2 military actions during my lifetime. And I'm a student of history particularly war strategy. This is one I support fully.

You apparently don't have any idea of what's happening here strategically.

Unfortunately the Ukrainians are our proxy warriors, they are the bulwark against fascist aggression. If there would have been a similar bulwark against Hitler at the start of WWII there wouldn't have been a WWII.

The US and NATO cannot fight and stop Russia because of the risk of WWIII. We have ICBMs and so does the Russian dictatorship (I know you love dictators).

Ukraine can and will fight for their survival, but cannot invade Russia because of the nukes. The Ukrainians would have invaded Russia by now and won, were it not for nukes. So our only recourse to stop the Russians from doing what Hitler did, incremental invasions of countries around him, is to so deplete his resources and to kill so many Russians that the Russians themselves stop Putin.

Ironically it's the same strategy that the Allies used on Germany in WWII and the North used on the fascist slave states in our Civil War.

It's pretty bizarre that our congress just gave the Military 10% MORE than they asked for (pork) and you authoritarians who supposedly believe in a strong military begrudge our ally 5% of our military budget especially in light that THEIR troops are dying for US and that they cannot invade Russia.

Begrudging the Ukrainians is damn stupid and foolish. We are already holding back advanced weapons and attack weapons. No doubt the consensus among our Military leadership is to continue to let the Ukrainians fight our battle against an aggressive nuclear power, with a defensive depletion strategy, rather than to later have us, and our troops, fight and die in a potential nuclear war with Russia.

What I like about these guys... every fucker in the Russian politburo wears a $5000 suit, as does ALMOST every male in our congress... even when it's 100 degrees out in Washington, to show us they're superior... like ancient Chinese bureaucrats who grew 6" fingernails to show their destain for working people.

It's not a singular reason to trust these guys but it damn well makes a statement to me.
