It would if you assume that Reuters is correct. I've read releases from them that say: "Due to the overwhelming Japanese Bank Debts, the Yen/USD should reach 150+", due to foreigns pulling out investments. So it all depends on when/why.

If you look back two weeks when the POG was $304, and 127YEN/USD.. And Now POG $298.60 & 124.18, than the rally is already over.{-3.95%}

Wiseowl; A weaker U.S. $ is generally bullish for gold but it's not the only factor affecting its' price. Here's a link to a few good articles on gold. Note the quote to the right re: U.S. $...................
