This comment is one of an intelligent person who understand relatively well Bitcoin, but who has failed to study other crypto alternatives simply because it takes too much time and he is not enough patient. Instead, he concludes that, because he hasn't found an application that he can use, those alternatives are insignificiant and have no potential. Furthermore, he doesn't want to give any credits to the PHDs in various sciences and other highly technical and less technical people who have who have spend several millions hours working on such alternatives. He probably says to himself, it is impossible to spend so much time on a product and have no results. Mr. Elroy, there are big results. Maybe not those you want to see. It simply because thoses products are very complex and it takes years to develop a the backbone of new financial and social systems.
