Regarding the Sun to Earth effects..

Dr Willie Soon has many studies and presentations where his position is the sun provides 98% of heat load onto earth’s atmosphere.

Other studies are in the 96% range. The remaining heat load on the earth’s atmosphere comes from wildfires, volcanism-tectonics, human caused changes.

In addition to the sun’s cycles there are also Milankovitch cycles. They are the shape of the earth’s orbit “eccentricity “, the angle the earth is tilted with respect to the earth’s orbital plane “it’s obliquity “, and the direction the earth’s spin axis is pointed “it’s precession”.

These taken together are the majority of drivers of earths climate cycles.

It is interesting to note the earth’s magnetic field reversal cycle of approximately 300,000 years. The North and South Pole polarity reverses.

Other factors include ocean currents, co2 absorption sinks(mountain range creation/breakdown, ocean’s absorption), etc., etc..
