PREGNANT HORSES NEGLECTED AND ABUSED ON TV!!!!!!!! Hi, Alex!!! Since I am not feeling very well, I was watching trash tv this evening (I wish I could figure out how to make a profit doing this), and happened across something that we had discussed several months ago--the alleged abuse of pregnant mares who provide the hormones used in manufacturing Premarin. As you may recall, you had said, I think, that this was hard to imagine, and I could only produce information from animal rights organizations, which are, of course, a little SOLID or something about the situation. In any event, tomorrow night on the CBS program EXTRA, which is a Time/Warner production and shows at 6:30 pm. in the San Francisco Bay Area, there will be a feature on this subject. Of course I do not know what the conclusion will be, but in the trailer a man is pushing the camera away from filming, and there is reference to crowding and being tied together, as I recall. This program also has a web site, at extratv.com, and perhaps you could obtain some information there. I am only sending this to you because I recall we had discussed it earlier, Alex. I realize several people were involved in the discussion, and this may be of general interest, so don't feel that you need to reply or anything.
