The market for physical books has remained stable. Paper Books vs eBooks Statistics, Trends and Facts [2022] - Toner Buzz I suspect that B&N will alter their plans if the expected recession is severe. IMHO, it will be short and relatively mild. While I do most of my reading on my Kindle, I still buy physical books. There is nothing as magical as going into a physical bookstore and browsing. I miss Borders.
