We did that. Total USSR dead WWII 26,600,000 US dead WWII 407,316 $44 billion is about 3% of out military budget. Money well spent strategically... unless you want to see OUR troops fighting Russians later like they did fighting Nazis late into WWII. The Ukrainians are willing to do the fighting an dying... even though they can't invade Russia and actually win the war. All they want is a hand... like we gave the communists. How stupid to begrudge them that after we spent 10 trillion on two wars in the Middle East for nothing.
