I wonder if it is OS dependent because my own likes on posts and comments to my posts in on a FB investing group I moderate show properly... I just tested to make sure.
Speaking of which, I've noticed for a long time now that if you use both a computer and a smartphone to access Facebook, when you like a friend's post on one platform, it does not show up on the other.
I have a windsurfing friend that has her real estate page on FB and we've noticed problems posting to those pages and having things flow smoothly. I think she used an iPhone and I used Samsung phones over this time.

Today using my Galaxy S22 and a 5-yr old W10 laptop with a Dell dock for three screens, I have no problem liking one of my Investing For the Long Term FB Group posts here with on device and seeing it appear on the other.

It might take a "hard reload" of the browser.
