We did the same this afternoon (down to the lake) nice day! It's (Folsom L) is up 20-30 feet with this storm from a week ago and probably went from 25% to >50%.

A good rain event here, but not "unprecedented" as proclaimed by the news. We had three "good" days of rain, which normally happens a couple times of year.....in 1862 it went on for 45 days.

We had similar events (last Oct, again 2017, 2006, 2000, 1997, etc). The issues, as usual, are civil failures because we no longer invest in our infrastructure.....More taxes/fees, but less goes to maintenance - the Consumnes River levee failed in the same place it failed in 1997ish......
