Excavations of ruins that are... what... 30 feet below current surface level ? Or... ???

Have always found the steady accumulation of trash that cities are built up on fascinating... or, you know.. shell middens that are crazy deep...

Can only imagine what a couple thousand years worth of accumulation of discarded Amazon packaging is going to do... but at least our historical artifacts of archeological significance shouldl be well protected in bubble wrap.

But, hey... maybe they're wrong about the rate, or variations in the rate, at which space dust piles up ?
