Kerry,

I agree, there was probably no news on MU this morning. The only reason I could see why MU may have been in a freefall from 38 down to 35 3/8 was due to MU volatility and market sell programs.

I interpreted what Tim was asking as... any very recent news being released that contributing to the decline i.e. another downgrade.

Good Luck Trading

DavidG

Your statement is right on, no real news. Some of the signs like TI-Hitachi and TI-Acer is not enough, MU qtr will be negative, but how bad will it be?
The ruling on March 3 on dumping could be interesting. Will Micron refile against the Korea Taiwan or Japan DRAM makers if the Government doesnt find anything for the fourth year in row?
The memory market I see is stabile, I would like to hear from others
on the memory market if 16M will trend up or sideways, and 64M sync
will inch downwards as demand increases and supply trys to keep up.
When will the demand exceed supply occur?in 98 2H or 4Q98? or 99?
If we knew the answer to all these questions playing this stock would be easier.
