The same appeal of John Boehner and Paul Ryan... Really, the hyperventilating that the House must vote for McCarthy or absolute ruin will result! is ridiculous. We see this everytime the party establishment is trying to foist someone off on us.

Good point. If you want a speaker who speaks in soft tones, and that is your prerequisite, I have a suggestion for one with a real spine and unassailable honesty............how about Devin Nunes.

The problem is this: Here is the guy we need as House Speaker. Whoever he is, whether he wants it or not, he's the guy that needs to be in that job. I mean, I'd like to hear more like this, but "Jimmy" sounds like the right guy for the job to me. But Gowdy, who knows him well, says, "Oh, he doesn't want that job." Doesn't sound right to me. Almost sounds like someone who should want the job but doesn't really want to say so. BOOOOOOOM!!!
