Well, I had multiple conversations with him, the last being the day before he was going into hospice in a nearby small town, which this was. He had multiple serious problems and had indicated he thought he didn’t have much time left, and that he had been told there was nothing else to be done. And then I lost touch with him a few days before the listed date. So, yeah, I do regrettably think so. He had stopped posting SI a few months before and I surmised he was not up to it any longer. Then, one day decided to look and see if there was a nearby obit. I only knew his name because about 15 years ago he didn’t use an alias. He and I switched to aliases at the same time. My conversations with him were brief and not rambling and I really think it had become a struggle for him to post.
