Looks like all crypto coins will be stuck in the ice for a while. Wait and see which ones can still float when the thaw comes.

California School Board Bans Critical Race Theory Right After Being Sworn In

Almost immediately after being sworn in, a school board in southern California voted to ban the radical far-left ideology of Critical Race Theory (CRT) from being taught in schools.

In their first meeting after a conservative majority had been sworn in, California’s Temecula Valley Unified School District banned CRT in a 3-2 vote.

“The TVUSD desires to uplift and unite students by not imposing the responsibility of historical transgressions in the past and instead will engage students of all cultures in age-appropriate critical thinking that helps students navigate the past, present, and future,” the school board’s resolution stated.

In their decision, the conservative-led school board condemned racism while also denouncing CRT as “an ideology based on false assumptions about the United States of America and its population.”

“Critical Race Theory or other similar frameworks will not be used as a source to guide how topics related to race will be taught,” they explained.

The school board even went a step further, including in their resolution a prohibition on the teaching of many of the core tenets of CRT — such as the notion that “Racism is racial prejudice plus power, a concept that is often used to argue that (i) only individuals classified as ‘white’ people can be racist because only ‘white’ people control society and (ii) individuals in ethnic minorities cannot be racist because they do not control society.”

Other tenets of CRT that were banned via the school board’s resolution were the idea that “Racism is ordinary and the usual way society operates,” and “The ‘voice-of-color’ thesis, the belief that minority groups are inherently better equipped to speak about race and racism.”

The school board’s resolution also banned the teaching of the notion that individuals can be “inherently racist or sexist” or “a member of either an oppressor or an oppressed class” solely based on their race or gender.

The resolution also bans teaching that an individual “should be discriminated against or receive favorable treatment on the basis of race or sex,” that they are responsible for “past actions committed by other members of the same group,” or that they “should feel guilty or discomforted on the basis of race or sex.”
