only needs to bring like 15 votes to his side
One more than 15 I believe

222 Republicans, needs 218 to actually be elected.
So only 4 defectors out of the 20

He can't break a 20 vote block he shouldn't be Speaker.
100% agreement

I see little evidence that he is negotiating a compromise position to get those votes. Which bodes very ill for his competence as Speaker of the House.

He's had since November to negotiate those votes. This shouldn't have come to a vote without a candidate who had the votes. He is incompetent.

Now the Hill is reporting that McCarthy is negotiating with Democrats to get his votes.

The leopard shows his spots.
