After following for a while, I just got in. Got to love this one. Although I see the most of the postings on this thread are numbers related, I believe there is evidence of consistent long term sales growth of the middleware products. Tuxedo is a dynamite product. PeopleSoft, another very hot product, is basing their future on it as a solution to the migration between two and three-tier models, including their web based solution. Additionally, I am aware of many large custom client/server projects going in at this time based using Tuxedo messaging solutions. BEA has a solid grasp of the transaction processing model with their products, and with offerings such as Jolt, will expand rapidly with web based solutions that are rapidly becoming the norm.

Being a back end solution has BEA suffering the same problem Oracle did a few years ago... lack of name recognition by the general public. Keep watching the numbers... this one will continue to get recognized as the numbers grow.

It looks like some large institution wanted this stock desperately this morning. Of today's volume around 30% of it came in a 15 minute period this morning when these buyers were willing to pay 23 3/4. I was looking at the 15 minute chart and it appears that 156,000 shares were traded in this window of time. So I guess the good news is that the big guys are buying. Or so it seems.
