After following for a while, I just got in. Got to love this one. Although I see the most of the postings on this thread are numbers related, I believe there is evidence of consistent long term sales growth of the middleware products. Tuxedo is a dynamite product. PeopleSoft, another very hot product, is basing their future on it as a solution to the migration between two and three-tier models, including their web based solution. Additionally, I am aware of many large custom client/server projects going in at this time based using Tuxedo messaging solutions. BEA has a solid grasp of the transaction processing model with their products, and with offerings such as Jolt, will expand rapidly with web based solutions that are rapidly becoming the norm. Being a back end solution has BEA suffering the same problem Oracle did a few years ago... lack of name recognition by the general public. Keep watching the numbers... this one will continue to get recognized as the numbers grow.
