It's a puzzle to me that even people who one tries to discuss with and explain to are unable to figure it out. When they answer various facts and ideas, it's as though they don't have a hearing/receptor function. Russians and Chinese when interacting with USA officials complain that the Americans seem unable to even understand or receive the facts and ideas from the "opposition". That seems to me [right here in Silicon Investor, discussing the same topics] to be the case. It's fascinating to see how they would rather carry on to death for 95% of the world than see how they might be wrong and that there is a more intelligent way of resolving the problems.

100 years after World War I, even while this war was revving up in 2015, 16, 17, 18, 19, millions of people around the world held World War I commemorations and did much virtue signalling "never again", "lest we forget" and marching and saluting and playing Last Post and blather blather "I'm an important person". Unable to connect the dots, they have continued right up to now and continue to gear up for more. It looks to me as not just error, ignorance, faulty thinking, bad judgement, but actual insanity.

Right here in Politics for Pros we see it. The simplistic, wrong slogans/cliches = "He started it", "He wants to reconquer USSR territory and a lot more besides", "And rule the world", "We want revenge for what some other USSR people did decades ago when Stalin was holodomoring", "Crimea belongs to Zelenksy and Kievans", "No, I don't know anything about the Charge of the Light Brigade, or Victoria Nuland, Or the 1812 Overture, or Barbarossa = i don't need to coz Putin is evil and bad and started it when we were all just having nice cups of tea and being nice to everyone."

Have more ammunition and weapons done much of anything to secure a Ukrainian victory yet? Nope, they've just caused to expand their goals. Before, they just wanted Crimea, Donbass autonomy, and a neutral. Thanks to NATO weapons, that offer isn't on the table anymore...

Looks like a big loss coming up. The loss has already happened. It's only a matter of whether bigger losses still be incurred.

People in favour of continuing the war don't seem to have anything other than slogans, cliches, epithets, Godwin Law thinking, and chimpoid tribal thinking [Our team no matter what].

Strangely, all of those in favour of the war are, I'm pretty sure, people who claim to be in favour of democratic decisions. But for some strange reason, they can't think it might be a good idea to have a Brexit vote in Donetsk, Luhansk, or a Scottish one in Mariupol, or Yugoslavian-style voting as in the several new countries that were once one big country under Tito. Break up Ukraine, like Yugoslavia was divided into several autonomous countries.

I have not yet seen anyone in SI who is in favour of continuing the attack on Russia explain why they are against voting, which has already started in eastern Ukraine. They seem to simplistically think "Putin ran totally fake elections". Well, that's more likely the case for USA presidential voting and the latest congressional voting, but either way, at least it's a start and better than murdering people en masse. It seems very unlikely that voting in the greatly Russian areas would be in favour of Zelensky and the Azovs being back in business. For many years, the voting in Ukraine was very strongly Russian in the east and the Bandaristas Azovs or whatnot in the west. It's not even close.

The UN likes to have something to do and who can remember what the primary purpose of forming the UN was? Hint - it was not to provide lifetime sinecures for distributing USA taxpayer loot to commie socialist bludgers around the world and to hate Jews having a country and defending it. Here's another hint = it was something to do with avoiding wars such as WWI and WWII.

Here's a chance, right now, for WWIII to be avoided [stopped]. But is UN trying to stop it? No. They are a WEFing conquistador gang out to beat Russia into submission, destroy it, conquer it, take it over, ban speaking Russia, kill Putin and others, confiscate the loot and maybe promote Zelensky to being overall boss man. Or Jacinda - she'll be ready for her new UN/WEF job later this year [or sooner].

What's wrong with you Silicon Investor warmongers?

It's not too late. Just say "OH heck, looks like we were wrong. Let's truce right now. Independent states agreed, or Russian, depending on local yokel referenda over the next couple of years. Crimea stays in Russia. Russia is invited into NATO. Nordstream pipelines are repaired and sales restarted. Special economic relations agreed with Russia-Eurostan + Pommy Bastards [after their criminal latest PM is fired along with Liz, Boris, Theresa]."

Hey presto, all the problems will be solved other than hurt stupid arrogant corruptocrat egos in Kiev and some PNAC-Neocon losers in Washington, and Hunter will have to get a real job and DementiaJoe10% doesn't get 10% and neither do Nancy, John McCain [good riddance], Lindsay Graham, and the swarms of other corruptocrat swampies. Raytheon, Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Northrup and whatsit get real jobs doing something more useful - such as keeping the Made in China Megalomaniacs civilized.
