We don't beg for anything. We ask them to produce more for the world market. We have all the oil we need. It was bai dun and obama who allowed the export of oil which resulted in energy independence because of the incentive to drill. The price of oil is not determined by by what we have, it's world supply and demand. OPEC controls the price by production. We can ask them to produce more...but why should they?

Yes we do import some high grade oil
