I read an article on this yesterday.....the "underdog" versus the "oppressed victim". We used to be the underdogs...the go getters - if I work hard enough I will prevail, it's my fault if I don't put enough effort into it...not any more. Now most identify as oppressed victims....it's someone else's fault that I am failing...... I'll see if I can find and post.
