Mark, A quote from this article: "We have a development partner on the West Coast, Network Computing Devices Inc., who jointly developed the Network Station Series 100, 300, and 1000. We also have a close relationship with Lotus in Boston ..." Well they bought Lotus. NCDI looks to me like a logical acquisition for them. (I hear they don't make the people at Lotus wear ties ...)
