Mike, I talked to the lady. She was at Jasmine afterward. I recall question and answer as it applies to financing. Yes, Qualcomm finances a lot of projects. They currently have significantly more requests than they are prepared to finance. They are currently in discussions with B of A, Citibank, MS among others for major line of credit to assist with financing. At same time, they are trying to convince those same banks to begin financing the customers directly - "shift the risk to the banks" I believe was his term.

By the way, the lady seemed very knowledgeable and had, I believe, a background in banking. Currently a full time investor. FWIW - Jacob's said infrastructure break even at 500 mm - Lehman says 600 mm. What's a 100 mm between friends. At any rate, makes the Mexico numbers begin to look impressive in terms of early profitability for infrastructure. Mike, while you're over there (MF land) ask her to come over to SI and post directly. My impression was she was going to do that. Plus she's cute. And young. And has a great mind.

Mike,

"She also maintains that she got together with "some very nice guys from the Q SI thread" whom she described as "more technical", and if memory serves wound up with them at the now infamous Jasmine. Do you boys have anything else you'd like to report? Hmmmmm."

If the above appears in italics, then you are NOT in the in-the-know group. You just have to show up sometimes and find out for yourself all the inside scoop that you have missed.
