If these analysts had any GUTS and shame, they would lower earnings estimates also at the time of the downgrade. That way at least the bar gets lowered for SUN for quarterly performance. Downgrading while not altering their estimate is like - let's compress the stock valuation as much as possible and make it tougher for the Co. at the same time.

My personal view is that the tide will pass, and fundamentals will catch up with valuations, later rather than sooner. (Maybe hard to believe with the frenzy to get aboard AOL, but look long term charts of ZITL, NSCP, IOM, PSTK on one hand, and INTC, CPQ, BAY, AMAT etc on the other)

SUNW did make an error in bunching up all there high profile announcements between 15 and 30 Jan. Also the stock has very few diehard supporters among the analyst community that will come out and pound the table.
