Arestovich is the guy who, years ago, predicted a big war between Ukraine and Russia, which would start in 2020-22 - and would be stopping and starting again for some 10 years, with Russia annexing the Eastern provinces. The war would eventually end with Ukraine’s victory.

He may still prove to be right. But I think he miscalculated the fact that the Russians came to realize the same thing - that leaving the issue unresolved would lead to yet another war - one that would likely be even more dangerous. So, they aren’t stopping.

Afaik, Arestovich is by training a psychotherapist. On occasions, (at least in the past) he would announce at the start of his broadcast that he would dedicate the session to Q&A on psychotherapeutic issues. And he was very good. As a political spinmeister, of course, he doesn’t hesitate to twist and lie.

This time, I guess, he was in the wrong mode - not of a propagandist, but of simply telling the truth. Why not? During war, bad things do happen. A rocket was successfully intercepted - but, tragically, it crashed near a residential building - and exploded. I don’t think he expected that this would cause a riot.
