Alex: MJ and I watched a kid, about 16, years ago at a Fred Meyer laundromat, look all around like lost, and then dump one-half box of detergent in a toploader with a couple items. I said to MJ, "Jeez! What do you think is going to happen?" We didn't have to wait long. It was like a movie. He ran and got the store manager, without shutting it off, and by then we weren't going to. It was the most fun we've ever had in a laundromat. The manager opens it up and says how much did you put in, and the kid hands him the soggy box.

And we were never accused of by-stander irresponsibility.
Wonder if he's ever been to a laundromat since. There are some places, your instinct is right to tell you, are out of your league.
