Vishal Garg was a pioneer when here fired 900 people over a Zoom call in March, 2022. That should have sent a message to all tech employees.

And yet Google employees were surprised of being fired over night via email
Tech people should have read that and thought: Hang on! This is the shape of things to come!

Chris Hohn wants to see job cuts of 150,000 jobs, at 20%, not 6%.
Hohn controls approximately $20 billion in various companies, and between $6 billion and $7 billion of Alphabet, in particular. This gives him “a lot of sway, a lot of power” over Google, Joseph Carlson said on Jan. 23.
