Could not agree with you more. Unix has 20+ years of modifications to it to give it the functionality that people actually needed. In order for WindowsNT to replace Unix it will have to do everything that Unix does right now and at that point you have just another Unix box. The obvious thing to do is give Linux the Windows look-and-feel and start unloading it.
