Insider..I know you said it was just a thought so please don't take this the wrong way but why on earth would sebl want to buy ifmx? sebl is an applications vendor and it makes no sense for them to go out and buy a db company. Since they support multiple database platforms what could be the strategic reason to buy ifmx.

How about SEBL buys IFMX. Just a thought - nothing more

Siebel is in the CSA/SFA application business. Buying a database company makes absolutely no sense to Siebel's business model.
