Hey Wharfie, a while back I remember you pointed out how gun control laws were working in California to reduce the murder rate. Unfortunately I can't find the latest post you made on that topic.

With that in mind, I read this article:

Half Moon Bay shooting: Newsom urges gun control, blasts GOP (eastbaytimes.com)

Newsom is doubling down on gun control after the recent rash of mass shootings.

Meanwhile I'm seeing more rumblings from leftists that claim the same thing: Failure of gun control only means we don't have enough of it.

Samo samo: Neighboring states have more lax gun laws. Federal government does nothing to stop guns from crossing state lines (you know, like Kyle Rittenhouse). 2nd amendment only applies to muskets, etc. etc.

By the way, I got a kick out of Newsom saying the following:
“What the hell is wrong with us,” he asked, “that we allow these weapons of war and large capacity clips out on our streets and sidewalks?”
Golly, Governor. I thought extended mags were illegal here in the People's Republic of California.
