My issue with TA is management can't be trusted. They had 7M shares outstanding during COVID and had plenty of available credit. They then proceeded to do a secondary offering doubling their share count at low prices compared to the market. Granted the stock has gone up from 12 dollars there, but just imagine what where it would have been with half the shares outstanding. There's also the intertanglement between RMR and SVC there.

RE: Trucking

I did buy some YELL at $3.06 and have an early gain of 8.2%. They seemed to be pretty undervalued. Watched them for a few months before moving in.

I do expect some pullback overall in the market so will keep a close eye and adjust if needed.

TA. There are just some days - many many days - where I feel I'm playing the market like a slot machine. Two cherries show up and I just, just - always just - miss getting that third cherry for a win. Seemingly always close but never get it.

Very nice article yesterday am in Barron's about how well Buffett invested in Flying J (Flying J is the largest "travel center" business in USA.), and his relationship with the founding owner(s). Mr. Buffett eventually took over the company, and it's been not much known but a tremendous investment according to Barron's (number 1 in the country in the business). In part thanks to further capital infusion by Buffett.
I immediately reviewed my position in TravelCenters - TA, which I believe might be a distant number two. Just did not see an impetus to increase my few shares. (Wrong)

This morning I see I just missed that third cherry...again.

Oh well. Have to be grateful for what I do have.
