Hi Quad-K,

If memory serves me correctly. NOVL is part of the NASDAQ 100 and another index, S&P 500? Could be some fund money going in.

Regards,

Don

Quad, no I finally sold at a loss immediately after a Schmidt interview on CNBC where he officially squashed an IBM buyout rumor...last April I believe. Have lost lot's on options over the years also...continually convincing myself that things had to be different in 4 months, 6 months etc. I thought about playing for a point or two, but I don't like putting myself on the line for more than a couple thousand shares of a given stock at a time, and find I personally to much better with much less effort elsewhere. Selling naked OTM puts as stocks look to bottom has left me with a couple of very nice months with nothing other than two transactions and keeping and eye on the ticker as I go about my business.

As far as earnings, I believe he has to come close to what he speculated (flat to lower) and assuming that, the key is looking forward. Problem with Novell compared with IFMX is that IFMX's credibility is not as totally destroyed as Novell's IMO. The risk is not that great cause I don't remember Novell tanking terribly immediately after earnings, instead I remember it floating down slowly over the course of a couple days or weeks. Usually time to get out if you don't like what they have to say.

Again, good luck.
