The Fools put out a little piece on semis and Kurlak's comments:

fnews.yahoo.com

Last article on the page.

I personally think they provide zero value added, but that just a personal opinion. For some reason they have developed a following and are widely disseminated on the web, so their comments can have an impact - the only reason to read their dribble in my opinion. Anyway, looks like they mainly just talk about chips sales slowing down - kind of negative piece.

LSI should do fine in this rally.

I am very happy to hear so much talk all of a sudden about this rally having legs.
It's another bull run, so let's enjoy it!

A high five on that...or maybe I should say "easy five".<g>

E!

I like your optimism esp. since I trust your optimism.

---

In the FWIW category:

LSI Logic was mentioned in Louis Rukeyser's little newsletter (which I got as a sample and which I will immediately toss in the bin).

Pointed out the buy by Corrigan of 100,000 shares.

And notes a CS First Boston analyst (who raised LSI from hold to buy) who said Corrigan knows when the stock has bottomed.

---

O.K.!!

So I checked LSI Insider Trading.

There has been 1 just 1 other time that Corrigan bought.

And that was in Aug. 1994 when the stock had not bottomed by any means.

So how that CS First Boston analyst generalized that Corrigan knew when LSI has bottomed is beyond my understanding. Insufficient data to corroborate and the one data point does not quite support his claim.

---

Still I like Corrigan's buy. Better than mass selling or Corrigan selling that's for sure.
Any way...
