Several points here:

(1) As someone who's actually done graduate studies in AI and is currently working on an AI project, I can tell you that it is not as easy as you think. A good rule of thumb is that when you find yourself thinking there is nothing to some professional work, it is more an indication that you are missing something than that everyone else is an idiot clamoring to triviality.

(2) I actually agree that C3.ai has run up too much too fast and should pullback next week. That part is a given. The real question is what should you do when it pulls back. Should you short it, take profits, or buy it? That's where your skill in tape reading comes into play. I leave it to everyone to decide for themself.

(3) Re: "As for advocating making more in a few days on crap that gets squeezed vs holding something of quality for a year, that's the most horrible financial advice I've ever heard." You hear what you want to hear rather than what I say. I cannot help you with that. I have *never* advocated what anyone should do. At most I have told people what I have bought at what prices to draw their attention to that item. It is then up to them to decide if/when they want to get in on that trade. Nor have I ever advocated simpleminded strategies because the market is just too complex for that. You keep building strawmen and whacking them down. That is your choice.

Lee, I like the AI stuff you wrote, but you would shart if you saw what I have had the past few weeks in one of my accounts - stuff like JMIA, FUBO, ZM, etc. Absolute trash. However, it's high beta, crushed, and bouncing off major lows like Tigger on Meth.

It's nothing that's going to be held for a year or even a quarter. However, it's making a crap-load of money. Anyone doing this kind of stuff has to be prepared for drawdowns, have stop losses, and have an exit strategy.

They also need to understand the game. This is not investing, but the returns are certainly nice enough.
