I don't know where he is coming from questioning the insider ownership in the stock. This is not uncommon since most startup biotechs have to get huge amounts of money from investors and they pretty much have to let the financiers get the shares. This makes sense, since they are putting up the money and it will be several years before they get a return on their investment. I have a best friend who co-founded a oncology management company and with the stock he controls is well within the range of what LGND officers control. Their market cap is well into the billions now but for years they struggle to grow the company. Don't cry for him, he is a multi-millionaire now, but for years it was only hard work and a hope that things would workout.
