Our defense department needs a massive overhaul. It can't win wars against unarmed countries and it can't defend the homeland.
Nothing wrong with our defense department or the capabilities of our armed forces.

The problem is the Brandon administration. They no doubt told the military to stand down and let the balloon fly.

No one knows why. They claim they didn't want to harm anyone on the ground, but like you pointed out, Montana is one of the most sparsely populated states in the union.

Plus there was no excuse for letting that balloon reach our shores in the first place.
