RE: LUMN

As we discussed before, I am hesitant to believe the aggressive buyback until it shows signs of materializing. I personally see it as a potential smoke screen to take pressure off them nixing their dividend. If there is nothing coming out of their next report then that should be a red flag.

Also need to see a bit more on the new leadership and how they perform. I again get skeptical when management creates performance incentives for management that has seen such poor performance.

I could easily see a lower low before a turnaround IMO.

We will see what their earnings show.

RE: LUMN earnings

Well they did complete some share buyback by repurchasing 33M shares of common stock for $200M.

Diluted loss per share of ($3.08) for the fourth quarter 2022 vs. $0.50 for fourth quarter of 2021

Net loss of $(3.069) billion for the quarter

Free cash flow (excluding special items) was only $126M for the quarter vs $620M in third quarter and $776M for fourth quarter 2021

Paid down some long-term debt

Stock made a new low today

Will keep an eye on what new management does
