Pancho, I've also been selling long positions. I never actually go to 100% cash but what MFs I own are conservative. Current wisdom says wait to sell until the IRA money pours in but it seems to me too many people are expecting it for it to really happen. Actually it probably will happen but we'll see. I wonder how much the market will loose when, er I mean IF, we ever go into a recession again? FWIW - I jumped on and shorted WDRY today on the first up tick I could get. This was a terrible day to try to short this thing! Any thoughts when to cover? Asensio says $5! Free Money, just like YHOO! Well, YHOO was SUPPOSE to be free money, not all things are easy....

dear pancho check this out i had bgl at datek i sold short 400 at 101/2 today my account said bgl@ 1!!! market. my account showed the 4000 $ gain so i went to cover my short the market bid was 1 yes 1 so i covered at 1 so i thought the stock covered at 103/4 so i called datek they said they showed it at 11. so they said they would cancel the cover. and bring my stock back i can't check yet can't get to datek. most of my shorts are gone for now will check wdry on tues made money on pwav long 145/8 sold at 181/2. i almost had heart attack over bgl. happy hunting tj.
