Arnie, Hostile takeover looks like the most likely option left for a buyout. Friendly takeover seems much less likely to happen w/new COO. Stock hung in there today, so most of the recent runup must have been related to new COO. Is Ms Merlander considered a heavyweight? Didn't see any Pier 1 background in her published bio. It was also very vague about actual positions held w/Sears etc. Still think we're riding a good horse. Regards, Dave
