Richard- Check out the earnings history and price action of: Amazon.com, Earthlink, and Adelphia Communications. Earnings aren't the only thing that can drive the price of a stock. Other things such as increasing revenues (which JMAR has), a new and promising technology (which JMAR has), and merely being in a hot industry (which JMAR is) can send the price of a stock much higher than mere earnings would suggest it should go.
A high technology stock in JMAR's niche of the market, with the bright array of products they have coming on line this year should be commanding a much higher price than we sport today.
My hypothesis is that JMAR's reputation has been so damaged by its inability to break through the 'trading practices' of the professionals when the price reaches the 4 1/2 to 5 dollar range that this is the reason the price is languishing at these low levels.
I think it is sad when proponents of the extension have to point out 3 cent upward moves of our stock as proof that the market approves of the extension.
