Wharfie, Social Security taxes are supposed to be tied to benefits. That's why there's a cap on deductions, because there has to be a cap on benefits as well.

Remove one without the other, and you'll succeed in your long-term goal of turning the program into welfare for seniors.

Let's not forget that time and time again, we are reminded that Social Security was never meant to be the primary source of income for retirees. And yet there is one political party that benefits from making it that way.

This was true back when Bush Jr. pushed for partial privatization, and it is true today.
