Our spooks only care about keeping secrets from Americans.

< my definition of victory is that by the time the shooting stops, we all are alive>

Yes. 100% agree.

The world is a dangerous place, getting steadily more unstable. The first priority, should be: avoiding catastrophic events. There are about 3 billion people on this planet, who are hungry, scared, and/or desperate. More every year. They all want to emigrate to safe, rich places like the US and Germany. Of course, this would make us poor and unsafe, if we let them all in. These angry people are cannon fodder for revolution, chaos, destruction. They are ready to do anything, tinder for the fire. The leaders of most nations, are children juggling hand grenades. Nobody in power is even proposing realistic solutions.

I am not positioning myself for marginal gains. I am looking to survive intact, from the next disaster. And the one after that.
