Rommie Loudd NFL linebacker

Rommie Lee Loudd (June 8, 1933 – May 9, 1998) was an American former collegiate and professional American football player, coach, and executive. He was the first black assistant coach in the American Football League and the first black majority owner of a major league sports team.

I had a very funny incident with Rommie.

He wanted to go out with a friend of mine and he set me up with a beautiful young black woman.

He brought her over and she was expecting a black man. She saw me and did the 100 yard dash

out the door. She had never gone out with a white man. We laughed our asses off.

I never got together with her although I certainly wanted to.

Great memories.
