Sy Hersh has also been known to be snookered by convenient stories planted by intelligence agencies, foreign and domestic, that agree with his typically anti-government stance. I take anything he writes with a grain of salt.

Blowing Holes in Seymour Hersh's Pipe Dream On the surface Seymour Hersh's story looks passable, but as you dig deeper it has more holes than the Nord Stream pipeline. oalexanderdk.substack.com Beyond any specific problems with some of the claims he makes is the more general one that he present no real evidence, just a story supposedly backed by sources he doesn't name. None of which amounts to evidence that the US didn't do it. But Hersh's claims don't really move the needle from where we were before, were we don't really know precisely what happened, or who was behind what happened.
