Hi Pat
Yes there is a lot of mines closing down production because of the sub $300 an ounce mark, like anything else you can't produce at a loss for too long.
I am quite aware of Western's position in Meliadine and it's $7.2 million exploration budget.But to get to the feasibility stage it has to be "feasiable" and it won't till gold turns back to it's 1996 levels. That's my opinion.
