I had a good time working remotely from Barcelona and Tangier. This allowed me to enjoy good weather and beaches with enough overlap with the US office hours to still spend time with my colleagues in NYC. But if I were to do it strictly for trading, I'd want to be a little further east - perhaps in Greece or Turkey. And if you really want to be up the whole night, then you'd move to somewhere near HK or Singapore or even South Korea. Personally I'd stay with the Mediterranean countries for the best blend of culture, climate, and overlap with the US eastern time.
